[later that night, after dinner, Sylvia brought Wander to her room to spend the night. She laid out a futon n a quilt for him nxt to her bed]
Sylvia: I hope u don't mind sleeping on the floor, Wander. I got a bit of a backache coz of my last excursion to scout a planet for Hater, so I kinda need to rest in bed. Doctors orders
Wander: It's no trouble, really.
Sylvia: Thank goodness
Captain Tim: [got on the futon first n rolled ard for a while before settling in, sighing in content]
Sylvia: Looks like Capt Tim agrees with u
Wander: (chuckle) He does.
Sylvia: I'm surprised u decided to keep Captain Tim's name, since u didnt exactly name it
Wander: Well, it does seem to suit him. (pets Captain Tim's back) :)
Sylvia: I suppose so. [a short pause later] I bet ur curious wat exactly did we give Ryder, aren't u?
Wander:...what? (is curious)
Sylvia: Its called Desert Powder. Technically used to absorb water during construction time at plcs where building needs to be built, especially the swamp. Bt in the wrong hands, a vry lethal poison to ppl regardless the species. One teaspoon is enough to kill at least 3 ppl, bcoz it reacts to liquid n absorbs all water inside ur body system, making u die of extreme dehydration. Tht's why Ryder was so thirsty n kept asking for water just now
Wander:... (nods in understanding)... (worried if he would survive that...)
Sylvia: N Lord Hater used 3 teaspoons on Ryder... He must care for u a lot to go tht far to torture tht guy... [sighed n smiled knowingly]
Wander:... maybe so...
Sylvia: [smiled at Wander brightly} Alright, I'm gonna turn in first. If ur still not sleepy, there are books on the shelf u can read or my laptop to use. Good night [lay in bed n went to sleep]
Wander: (nod) (sits on his futon) ... (digs out cellphone... scowls as he deletes a certain number from his phone.)
(later that night)
Wander: Zzzz ... (stirs a bit)... mm...
[scenes of Wander's old life flashes before him, the days where he was still abused by him. Scenes of Ryder bashing him, shouting at him, screaming obscenities at him, raping him, filled his dreamland, n it ended with Ryder, moaning n crawling ard in the basement he was chained in, looking like the mummy he had died in as he moaned out "YOU KILLED ME! YOU MURDERER! MURDERER!!"]
Wander: no... N-no... (starts squirming, breathing unsteadily)
Captain Tim: [wakes up hearing him, whining worriedly]
Wander: Ryder... don't... no...! >< (starts thrashing)
Captain Tim: [yelped as he was hit frm his thrashing, hitting a shelf nearby]
Sylvia: [snorts awake] Wh-Wha...? Wat...? [turns to look ard, still blur]
Wander: (jerks awake) !! (breathing heavily) ... (bit shaken)
Sylvia: [noticed him] Wander? Wander, buddy, u OK? [came to him, sitting nxt to him, bt beware not to touch him, since she knew frm experience tht touching someone who just had a bad dream was a bad idea]
Wander: ;( I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I...
Captain Tim: (gets up) :( ?
Sylvia: Shh, shh, shh... [hugs him n rocks him gently] Its OK, its OK. It's all ovr now. Ur safe, buddy
Wander: ;( / ( (hug) s her closely)
Captain Tim: (nuzzles closely to him)
Sylvia: There, there... Shh... [hummed a random lullaby for him n rocked him to sleep]
Captain Tim: [fell asleep first in Wander's lap]
Wander: (slowly calms down... starts feeling sleepy again...) (yawn) ...(falls alseep against Sylvia)
Sylvia: [smiled n sighed in relief before laying him bk dwn on the futon n returned to bed, yawning as she went bk to sleep]
Wander: (in deep sleep)...
Captain Tim: (cuddles next to him)
