(meanwhile, Wander was back on the job but was told by Peepers to take it easy if he needed to. However, the nomad still had memories on and off about what he and Hater had done together over the last few days. He wasn't even sure if...he was falling in love with Hater? But what if he just thought he was, like he had been with Ryder? Was Hater serious about loving him back? Or did he imagine him saying that?)
Wander: (bothered with these thoughts, which some of the Watchdogs seemed to notice.)
Westley: [definitely noticed him the most] Umm, Wander?
Wander:...Uh...Huh? o.o Say something, Wes?
Westley: Umm... Ur pouring too much inkberry sauce into tht fish [pointed at the fish he was supposed to marinate bt the sauce was ovrflowing]
Wander: (notices) O_O Oh! (stops the pouring) ^^;;; Oops.
Westley: Wander, can we talk? In private?
Wander:...Okay...? (follows Westley)
Westley: [led them to the storage pantry] So, u've been a little off since tht week u took ur sick leave. Is there something bothering u? U knw u can talk to me
Wander: ...it's nothing, really...(hopes Westley isn't noticing him slightly flushing from thoughts of Hater)
Westley: [raised a brow] Does this hv anything to do with Lord Hater n u being his newly assigned waiter?
Wander: !!...N-No, I... I don't mind being his waiter... nothing wrong with that, really!
Westley: [noticed the slight blush on Wander's face as he protested, then grinned a little] Oh, I see where this is going. U like Lord Hater, don't u? Like "like him" like him?
Wander: O_O...uhhhhh...^^; you see... (hugging himself, trying to look away)
Westley: Well aren't u going for the gold there, Wander? [nudged him teasingly] So u guys officially going steady or something?
Wander:...steady but... you're not concerned because of my 'relation' with Ryder...?
Westley: Who? [hasn't reli fully known abt the history of Wander n Ryder, since the Star Nomad is a little hesitant to talk abt his past evn aftr a mth being in the ship]
Wander:...(sighs and explains how he met Ryder and what his life was like with him)
Westley: Hmmm... I see... [scratches his chin] U definitely had it rough bt tht is the past. Everyone makes mistakes. N judging by the way Lord Hater went all tht way to rescue u frm him, I'd say he genuinely cares abt u
Wander:...Yeah... but I'm not sure about going through with this...chances of the same thing happening all over again...
Westley: Wander, lemme tell u something abt Lord Hater. U knw why we're willing to work for him n follow him to ends of the galaxy without question, evn tho he can be a big manchild?
Wander:...Why's that?
Westley: Bcoz he saved us. He saved us wen no one else would care. I knw, right? A planet conqueror saving ppl? Weird, right? Bt its the truth
Wander: He did all that...?
Westley: Yeah, he WAS supposed to conquer our planet, bt it turns out the planet itself is dying n we were also slowly dying off frm starvation n cold, n Hater decided to save us all by taking us in to his ship to work for him n he put our planet out of its misery by blowing it up. We were sad to see our planet die, bt if we stay, we would've all died with it. With Hater, we had a chance to survive. It's thanks to him we're all alive right now
Wander:...(amazed Hater did all that...) Ryder wouldn't ever do that sort of thing...
Westley: I don't suppose he would, judging by how u describe him. The point is wen Lord Hater is serious abt something, he will go thru with it, n if there is something he cares abt, he'll protect it even if it cost him his life. He's not as evil as everyone in the galaxy thinks he is, so trust me wen I say u can trust him with ur heart
Wander:...(nod) Yeah...
Westley: [patted his bk] Feel better now tht u got it off ur chest?
Wander:...Mhm. (thinks a moment) I don't know if Hater already had an order, but... wanted to do a little something different for his meal, if he'd be ok with that...
Westley: No, he hasnt reli ordered anything yet. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I bet he might like the gesture
Wander: (nod)
