Flesh of My Blood-Chp140

[the cab soon reached to where the address was stated]

Cab Driver: Here we are, miss.

Sylvia: Thanks, cabbie [pays him the fare n got off the cab with Peepers n the twins]

Peepers: (sees the location they're at)

[as the Computer mentioned, it was the slums area, with barely standing houses n pretty rough n dirty living conditions, n the ppl staying there weren't tht much well off]

Sylvia: Wow, this was where u lived before?

Peepers: (nod) (signs) This was part of my childhood.

Sylvia: Hate to say this but...it's quite the dump. Altho I can understand given ur family's financial condition

Peepers: (signs) Yeah, it was hard to get by at times but we somehow managed.

Sylvia: Can't say I blame u guys, since ur getting by after losing ur whole planet

Peepers: (nod)

Sylvia: Right... Let's look ard n see if there's anything familiar, anything that gives u a recollection of where ur exact house is

Peepers: (nod) (follows her)

[the duo walked ard, Sylvia pulling dwn the pram hood to cover the twins so they don't get dirty from the slum dirt, n they explored ard]

Peepers: (glanced around, old memories coming back to him)

Sylvia: [sees a playground where kids were playing, tho the playground wasn't exactly in best shape]

Peepers: (signs) Mother and I spent much time together on that playground.

Sylvia: Wow, reli? That playground seems like it's seen better days tho. It's a tetanus shot waiting to happen

Peepers: (signs) Well it had been in better shape when I was a Watchpup.

Sylvia: I see. Well I look forward to the day the twins r old enough to go play in the playground :)

Peepers: (nod) (signs) Me too.

Sylvia: [kissed his cheek]

Peepers: ^///^

[they both made their way to the housing area]

Peepers: (looked around, then stopped upon seeing...) :o

Sylvia: [looked to his direction too] Oh, is that...?

Peepers: (sees...his old home, looking like it had seen better days) ... ;(

Sylvia: Woah... This... Doesn't look too good... [patted his bk] U gonna be OK, Pipsqueak?

Peepers: (signs) just... just so...

Sylvia: Bad memories?

Peepers: (signs) There were good ones...but also bad... :(

Sylvia: I'm sensing it's mostly bad...?

Peepers: (nod)

Sylvia: It's alright. We're halfway there. No turning back now. I'm right with u

Peepers: (nods slowly as they make their way to the house)

Sylvia: [followed behind, slowly pushing the pram n navigating ard the debris] Looks like no one has stayed here since u guys

Peepers: (shook his head)

Sylvia: Tht would probably be the best. It'll be kinda awkward to just come in n ask whoever is staying here if we can explore the plc

Peepers: :(

Sylvia: [looked ard some more] Get anything frm here?

Peepers: (signs) I don't know...what were you thinking?

Sylvia: Wat do u mean?

Peepers: (signs) I mean, get what from here?

Sylvia: Hmmm... Dunno, hopefully a hint as to where ur mother might hv been taken after the incident

Peepers: (think) (signs) What I can mostly recall was the attack that took place happened upstairs... :(

Sylvia: [rubbed her chin] Here, u look after the kids, I'll go upstairs to chk it [passes the pram to him]

Peepers: (nod) (pays his attention on the twins)

Sylvia: [made her way upstairs to look ard]

[A few mins later...]

??: Umm, excuse me? Wat r u doing here?

Peepers: ? (looked to see)

[it was an old lady abt Sylvia's height with pink skin n light blue hair]

Old lady: U shouldn't be here, this place is condemned, cursed

Peepers: (signs) I'm...sorry?

Old lady: A woman n a child died here, n their spirits roam the halls of this place. No one could ever stay here long bcoz of the hauntings. U shouldn't be here! Ur disturbing the spirits in the house! U'll be cursed~ [was obviously senile n not very right in the head]

Peepers: (signs) Um...I think you mean the mother died here, the child was only injured... (had a feeling of who she was talking about)

Old lady: Naaawww~~ they both diiiiied n now they haunt this house for all eternityyyy.... [made booga booga fingers at him]

Peepers: (signs) So...you wouldn't believe that I was that child?

Old lady: [squinted her eyes at him for a while] Nah, u don't look like him. I heard the family were cyclops species...

Peepers: (signs) We're called Watchdogs.

Old lady: If ur a Watchdog, why don't u look like a dog? U can't fool an old lady. I've seen the world long enough to know wat a Watchdog is [clearly not right in the head]

Sylvia: Pipsqueak, I found something... [sees him n the old lady] Who's that?

Peepers: (signs) I've no idea, just that she seems crazy. ^^;;

Old lady: Who ya calling crazy, u whippersnapper?! Young kids these days!

[A man showed up n tapped her shoulder; he looked like her, bt with yellow hair]

Man: Ma, r u bothering ppl again? It's time for ur medication.

Old lady: I'm not bothering anyone! I'm trying to help this young man before he gets cursed by the house!

Peepers: (signs) (to man) And you are...?

Man: [stared at him for a while] P... Peepers...?

Peepers: (blinked; how did this person know him...?)

Man: Don't u recognize me? I'm Sol, the highschool kid from across the street! We used to play together, remember? U always like to hide up in my treehouse whenever u wanna hide from ur dad wen he's drunk

Peepers: (signs) Sol...? :O Oh my grod, Sol! (steps forward to share a quick hug with him)

Sol: [hugged him bk] My, how u hv grown, Peepers. Not a day goes by since that day the hospital took u n ur mom away

Peepers: (signs) Yeah...but how have you been? :)

Sol: Oh I'm good. Sorry abt my mom tho, she's getting into the age n her mind is getting a little senile. She's due for her medication soon. Come, why don't u hv a drink at my place?

Peepers: (signs) That would be nice. (turns to Sylvia) Can we?

Sylvia: Of course :) [takes the pram n pushed out of the house]

Sol: Ooh tht ur wife n kids?

Peepers: (signs) Yes, this is my wife Sylvia, and our twins. :)

Sol: Nice. Come, I still live across the street. Follow me

Old lady: Son, who are these crazy ppl?

Sol: U won't remember them, trust me ^^;;

Peepers: ^^;;
